Job description: Job SummaryOur client is a leading player in the manufacturing industry and requires an experienced and passionate Manufacturing Training Manager to join the team and help drive workforce development and operational excellence on a six months contract.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Design, implement, and update training content tailored to manufacturing needs, technical skills, and compliance requirements.
- Safety and Compliance Training: Ensure workforce training aligns with occupational health, safety standards, and South African labour laws.
- Skills Gap Analysis and Evaluation: Assess training needs, monitor progress, and update programs to align with manufacturing goals.
- Performance Tracking: Report on training success and performance improvements to senior management.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Lead and mentor training coordinators and external trainers to foster a learning culture.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications in Training & Development, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma are advantageous.
- Ideally SDF Certified
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
- Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing with at least 3 years in a training or management role.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing processes, equipment, and regulatory standards.
PROVEN SKILLS
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in LMS, training software, and MS Office.
- Analytical skills for performance tracking and program evaluation.
