Job Summary:
As a Technical Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of our client’s market presence within the agricultural sector. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, building strong relationships with clients, and providing technical advice on agricultural products, particularly seeds, citrus, vegetables, macadamias/avocados, and potatoes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to drive sales growth.
- Understand client needs and provide expert technical sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Create and execute effective sales strategies that align with corporate objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activity.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless delivery and customer support.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company’s profitability.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Education: Matric (Grade 12) is required. A BCom/BSc or a relevant qualification in the agricultural field is preferred.
- Industry Experience: At least 3 years of experience in sales and marketing within the agricultural industry, particularly dealing with products like seeds, citrus, vegetables, macadamias/avocados, and potatoes.
- Language: Must be fluent in Afrikaans to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders within the region.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop strong client relationships, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
- Additional Requirements: A valid driver’s license and a clear criminal record are mandatory.
Compensation Package:
The position offers a competitive basic salary ranging from R15,000 to R30,000 per month, which is highly negotiable based on experience and qualifications. In addition to the basic salary, the role includes a commission structure that rewards you for achieving and exceeding sales targets. The successful candidate will also be provided with a company vehicle and a fuel card to support travel across the designated areas.
