Job description: Job Summary The main purpose of the role:
You will be calling on food manufacturers (factories) in a technical product advisory capacity, to optimize sales and market share of product offerings. To assist in the achievement of sales, volume and GP budgets. To motivate and support Area Sales Managers and Technical Sales Reps to achieve targets.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, and feedback from field activity
- Participate in demos, promotions and marketing events and evaluate the success thereof
- Travel with Sales Reps and provide mentoring and coaching as required
- Compliance monitoring and follow up
- Competitor analysis
- Sales, market share, client categorization analysis report and monitor
- Manage team towards achievement of company objectives
- Growth of sales and market share
Requirements:
- Matric
- BSc Food Science or related degree
- A sound understanding of food manufacturing processes is required to provide technical product support to clients and grow existing client spending
- 4-6 years experience in Food Processing i.e. Production Management or Product Development or Technical Product Advisor to food manufactures
- A driver’s License and own transport essential
- Prepared to work overtime as and when required
- Flexible to travel
