- Develop, implement, and manage production planning systems to ensure optimal resource allocation and production schedules.
- Create and maintain detailed production plans, considering inventory levels, material availability, lead times, and customer demand.
- Collaborate closely with the production and procurement teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery of high-quality jewellery pieces.
- Monitor production progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines and ensure on-time delivery.
- Analyze and improve current production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflows.
- Implement and oversee planning tools and software to streamline operations and ensure accurate tracking of production metrics.
- Conduct capacity planning to align production capabilities with forecasted demand, addressing any potential bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication between production, sales, and supply chain departments.
- Prepare regular reports on production performance, inventory status, and planning efficiency to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in production planning, supply chain management, or operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production planning systems and tools, with proficiency in software such as ERP systems or planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Analytical mindset with experience in data analysis, forecasting, and capacity planning.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments.
