Job description: Job Description :A well-known food manufacturing company is looking for an Operations Manager to run their team. This is a full-day in-office role based at their factory in Springs. The role will be to ensure the production plant produces and operates effectively and efficiently.Responsibilities:
- Planning and procurement of production related inputs
- Introducing and managing operational processes for optimum production outputs
- Product quality control and management
- Maintaining GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) standards
- Supervising of production staff
- Supervising and maintenance of production assets
- Supervising of sales related documentation and dispatch of goods sold
- Supervising of all safety protocols
Requirements
- Must be technically orientated and qualified and a hands-on person.
- Automated extrusion plant requires basic knowledge of PLC inputs.
- Must have matric and at least a N5 qualification.
- Must have good experience, at least 5 years, in the production environment.
- Must have a good understanding of MS Excel.
- Oversee raw material stock levels considering lead times from raw materials, finished goods.
- Good English and Afrikaans communicator and report writer.
- Personality – fosters teamwork, integrity.
- Energetic self-starter and innovator.
- Good knowledge of the OHS Act and Regulations, safety and environmental management
