Job description: Sheet Metal Mechanical Draughtsman- Manufacturing.Mechanical Degree OR Mechanical Diploma OR Certificate with good marks.Must have minimum 3-7+ years working experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman in the Engineering manufacturing Industry using Solid works Draughting +3D CAD modelling Experience gained in Mechanical Draughting of Sheet Metal- Aluminium- with also CNC programming experience as well or Jigs, Fixtures, Conveyor systems, Pallets or other machinery or products, ItemsSolid Works PDM experience great advantageMatric certificateDriver’s License + own transportAnalyse mechanical functionality of systems, including Finite Element Analysis.Develop manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable company standardsExperience in Specification of electro-mechanical + pneumatic control systems advantageGood Understanding and working experience of fine Tolerance + References.Mechanical Draughting experience in Sheet MetalSteel cutting/slicing experience advantageCNC programming experience advantageAssist Design Engineers in translating CAD models into manufacturing data packs experience required.Develop detailed manufacturing drawings for projects.Develop detailed layout and installation drawings for projects.Experience in Developing detailed pneumatic and hydraulic schematics for projects.Experience gained in Developing service centred mechanical maintenance manuals.Update and complete the Engineering Bill of Materials to a Manufacturing Bill of Materials. BOMManage engineering change management activities.Interface with Design Engineers, Project Management and Production Managers to find optimal manufacturing methods for components and sub-assemblies.Manage manufacturing data and optimise manufacturing data packs for lean manufacturing.Issue formal requests to the Procurement Department from the Manufacturing Bill of Materials.Verify design details and recommend modifications as needed according to company standards and best practice.Coordinate with manufacturing to support, guide and resolve any issues related to design.Ensure all engineering and manufacturing data adheres to company engineering standards, ISO, SABS and Customer Standards.Able to work under pressure and deadlines.Experience gained in managing own projectsInterface with Customers, Vendors, Production Managers and Procurement to find optimal solutions.Work to company CAD + PDM standards.Detailed Draughting must be done to ISO, SABS and Customer StandardsSpecify system components or direct modifications of products to ensure conformance with engineering Draughting and performance specifications.Prepared to work overtime whenever required.Able to start within 1 week -2 weeks or lessWilling to relocate if neededR20 000- R 33 000 per month full cost to company CTC negotiable but depended on years and skills gained of experience related to this VacancyThe post appeared first on .
