Job description: This will be a senior role, reporting to the Chief Product & Marketing Officer, and will sit on the monthly Executive Committee. This individual will be a dynamic driven leader, ready to achieve growth in an expanding and critical channel for the business. Ultimately responsible for driving Sales, this role is responsible for ensuring their digital customers are delighted at every opportunity – with a goal to expand this channel into stores transforming the retail experience the Client.Develops Digital Sales strategy for Online commercial presence (Client website and e-commerce partnerships) to support long-term growth for the business and promote the Client and their extensive range of products.
- Drive growth in Digital Channels (Online website & e-commerce partnerships) to achieve business KPIs and articulate the support needed with People, Processes and Technology.
- Set and achieve Digital Sales team KPIs – Sales, Conversion, Customer Growth (Existing / New customers), ROI.
- Identify and drive strategic partnerships and channels for e-commerce globally.
- Drive further share of wallet for existing customers – targeted strategy to drive repurchase.
- Pipeline growth and management.
- Monitor and analytics the conversion and propose improvements and optimization on investment in ad-spend.
Develops Digital Marketing strategy for Online commercial presence, working closely with Head of Marketing:
- Structure and deliver strategic marketing campaigns for the Clients website, e-commerce partnerships and social media. brand presence to achieve business KPIs and articulate the support needed with People, Process and Technology.
- Set and achieve Digital Marketing team KPIs – impressions, leads, conversion – and statistics pertaining to Comms, PR, Advertising, Paid Marketing and social media.
- Identifies and evaluates new digital technologies and uses web analytics tools to measure site traffic to better optimize marketing campaigns, email marketing, social media and display and search advertising.
- Play a major role in enhancing brand awareness within the digital space.
- Trains internal teams to use digital technologies.
Responsible for ongoing development of the Client’s website:
- Manages a team, in accordance with guidance from CP&MO, consisting of a technical development lead, UX/UI designer and backend developer (SEO Lead, support role in Marketing).
- Set Quarterly and Annual KPAs for Digital team.
- Mentor and coach staff to identify training needs and improve overall skill levels within the area and ensure that personal development plans are in place to address development needs and career aspirations.
- Drive the employee engagement strategy to ensure employees are motivated effectively and to reduce annual attrition rates.
- Ensure adequate and appropriate departmental infrastructure is in place to deliver against KPA’s and to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
Perform reporting / other related duties as assigned by CP&MO:
- Produce timeous, accurate and concise monthly reporting covering all key Digital Sales and Marketing metrics.
- Effective weekly reporting in weekly sales meetings.
- Assist with attending all relevant stakeholder meetings and ExCo meeting (where necessary).
- Ensuring data integrity.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5-7 years’ experience as a Digital Lead, with at least 3 years’ experience managing teams / senior managers
- Strong e-commerce & digital experience
- Strong UI / UX experience, if not through direct experience, at least showing a good breadth of knowledge or engagement
- Solid experience with online marketing tools and web-based technologies
- Ability to drive strategy and influence ExCo decision making
- Tertiary: BSc degree, Digital technologies or relevant Business field
Expected salary: R90000 – 100000 per year
