Job description: Job SummaryA leading vertically integrated engineering, procurement, and construction company with offices in Kenya and South Africa, specializing in designing and constructing premium, bespoke solar energy systems, is seeking a highly motivated Renewable Energy Sales Engineer to join its dynamic team. The company offers full-service commercial solar power systems for businesses across Africa, providing clean energy solutions through both microgrid and grid-tied photovoltaic solar systems.The Renewable Energy Sales Engineer will be tasked with developing sales opportunities for renewable energy solutions, with a focus on medium to large Commercial and Industrial (C&I) projects.The responsibilities include working with internal teams and/or customers to develop optimized technical solutions for renewable energy projects, preliminary technical solution design, costing, proposal write-up, assisting in client contract negotiations, developing sales with new and existing accounts, formulating competitive strategies, contributing to the business plan, and building strong relationships with customers and suppliers within the industry.The qualifications for this role include a minimum of 5 years of technical sales experience in renewable energy or related fields, a technical understanding of solar PV, battery energy storage systems, diesel generators, and electrical reticulation, the ability to work with customers and partners on technical questions and solutions, excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to work well in a matrix organizational structure, knowledge of project management, experience with large-scale solar installations, and a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company at the forefront of the renewable energy sector in Africa.Commencement date will be in February 2025Omega HR SolutionsRecruiter
