Job description: Warehouse and Distribution Manager (AA)Area: Pinetown, Durban. KZNPackage: Basic Salary: negotiable up to R46000 Plus benefits, plus performance Bonus (CTC R735000 P/A)Purpose of the position: We are seeking an experienced Warehouse and Distribution Manager to manage a warehouse in Pinetown Durban. To ensure efficient distribution in the region and lead the team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record & experience in logistics, warehouse management, and people management.Key performance areas and indicators:· Manage warehouse operations.· Receiving of finished goods into stock process· Manage inventory levels.· Execute distribution of SCTs· Take corrective action on slow moving & aged stock.· Manage cycle & stock counts in line with Procedure.· Monitor stock levels & Optimize storage capacity.· Transport management for the Region.· Ensure the Optimization of deliveries/ vehicles.· Maintain optimum service level and reach OTIF targets of 99%.· Effective management of fleet fuel, servicing, maintenance.· Management of Service providers, SLAs / KPI performance and contracts· Ensure accurate record keeping, reporting.· Attend the Daily Operations meeting.· Collaborate with Sales team to review customer requirements and performance.· Follow national stock control procedures and meet targets.· Process redesigning and procedure improvement recording, Implementation and execution.· Meet the annual departmental budget and ensure that expenses are kept within budget.· Authorize departmental expenses within approved mandate.· Compile annual expense and Capex budget and execute accordingly.· Ensure Processes and actions to comply with the regulations and requirements of OHS and· Ensure that the required standard of Safety measures is adhered to by all staff and visitors. Responsible for the overall site Maintenance.· Implement, monitor, review and improve internal controls and monitor compliance with ISO processes.· Manage Company internal & external audits.· Leadership / Supervise warehouse staff, drivers, assistants.· Execute people related administration duties (Payroll, traffic offences, leave management etc.)· Prepare and implement training plans.· Attend to disciplinary matters within policy and code guidelines.Skills, Qualifications & ExperienceEducation:· Grade 12 with Maths and accountancy as passed subjects.· Degree in Supply Chain or LogisticsSkills· Computer literacy and proficient in working with SAP, Syspro, ClickView, Eco Time, VIP essential and Microsoft office programmes with advanced Excel skills.· The ideal candidate can work in a highly pressurized environment and manage various projects simultaneously.Experience:· 10+ years of experience in warehouse management and distribution in a large organisation.· Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and supply chain management· Proven leadership and team management skills· People management experience is essential including IR, Development, training, and Motivation.· Experience in performance management.· Inventory management experience.· Experience in Process design & Supply Chain optimisation.· Experience in Managing 3rd party transport providers.· Warehouse Management experience.· Fleet Management experience is essential
Expected salary: R40000 – 46000 per month
