As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for researching potential clients, cold calling prospects, and creating interest in our funding products. You will qualify leads and pre-approve them, handing them over to senior funding specialists who will continue the process. This role offers a great opportunity to understand client needs, grow sales skills, and contribute to the success of the team.Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant diploma or degree
- Outbound sales call center experience (required)
- Experience in SME or retail environments

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the SME market, industries, and the funding challenges they face.
- Understand and communicate Merchant Capital’s product offerings and how they can address client funding requirements.
- Research each lead, document findings in the CRM system, and use this information to build rapport with prospects.
- Leverage research and product knowledge to uncover client funding needs and align them with Merchant Capital’s solutions.
- Diligently manage and work through lead pipelines in the CRM, making the appropriate number of touchpoints without overwhelming prospects.
- Maintain CRM system accuracy by updating contact information, industry data, and categorizing leads for future engagement.
- Make 80 calls per day in a high-volume sales environment.
- Pre-qualify clients to ensure they meet Merchant Capital’s criteria and express genuine interest in the product.
- Pre-approve clients for facility sizes based on their needs and financial viability.
- Collaborate weekly with senior funding specialists to gain insights and support ongoing sales strategies.
