As they expand internationally, they are looking for a detail-oriented and confident Pay and Bill Administrator to join their remote team. Job Description: Our client is seeking a Pay and Bill Administrator to oversee payroll and billing functions for their educational professionals. This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong Excel skills, and the ability to confidently liaise with consultants, clients, and umbrella companies to ensure smooth payroll and invoicing processes. Process weekly payroll for teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff. Verify timesheets, overtime, and additional payments to ensure payroll accuracy. Collaborate with schools, teachers, and consultants to resolve any payroll or invoice discrepancies. Generate and distribute accurate invoices to clients. Chase outstanding payments, monitor debtor accounts, and reduce debtor days (DSO). Approve and follow up on timesheets to ensure timely payroll processing. Liaise with umbrella companies regarding payment queries. Produce weekly gross margin reports in Excel and reconcile bank transactions. Prepare billing reports for the CEO, ensuring accuracy and real-time payment monitoring. Support the Head of Finance with general finance and accounting tasks (e.g., VAT, P&L coding).
3+ years of experience in an accounts or finance function. Strong Excel skills (essential). Experience using Xero (preferred). Experience in payroll processing, invoice management, and credit control. Confident communicator who can challenge consultants and ensure compliance. Ability to manage high volumes of transactions with great attention to detail. Understanding of basic accounting principles, P&L, VAT, and bank reconciliations. Proactive, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Expected salary: R16000 per month
