This is a pivotal role for a detail-oriented individual who thrives on managing financial and legal risks while developing strategies to safeguard the firm’s integrity.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enforce procedures and policies to ensure the firm’s compliance with industry standards, government regulations, and internal policies.
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments to identify and address potential compliance vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with departments such as Finance and Human Resources to ensure organization-wide compliance.
- Stay updated on regulatory developments, ensuring timely updates to policies and processes.
- Provide training and support to staff to foster a culture of compliance.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 5–8 years in a similar role within a legal or professional services firm.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CCEP or equivalent) are advantageous.
- Thorough knowledge of industry standards, risk management, legal requirements, and regulatory controls such as B-BBEE and FICA.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
