Job description: Job Summary The position will be located on a large residential estate in Somerset West. Requirements: • Qualification in horticulture, landscaping or similar • Minimum 3 years’ experience • Valid driver’s license • Computer literate (MS Office essential) • Good work ethic & sober habits • Self-motivated & self-disciplined • Excellent time management & communication skills • The ability to manage, oversee & give feedback on a daily basis • Ability to motivate others • Ability to work independently as well as in a group • A good knowledge of plants, plant care & landscaping • Attention to detail & organisational skills • Problem-solving skills • Landscaping design experience & knowledge of design software advantageous Key duties & responsibilities: • Managing the team of 22 employees in three departments of garden maintenance, landscaping & irrigation; lawn-mowing & machine operating and the maintenance of the estate’s pool area. Managing the day-to-day operations of the residential estate. Professional & timely communication with the Garden Division Manager. Providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns with the estate in a professional manner. The successful applicant will report to the Garden Division Manager, that will be on site part-time to communicate the scope of work, and assist in HR and other senior duties An opportunity exists for the successful applicant to become involved.
Expected salary: R20000 per month
