Job description: Job Summary We are seeking dedicated Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to join our Frail Care team in Johannesburg. Location: Sandringham, Johannesburg Job Type: Temp / Agency Shifts (following a 5 day orientation at the facility) Role and Responsibilities: Clinical Care Accurate nursing documentation based on observation & daily assessment of the resident Completion and implementation of nursing care plans based on resident needs Coordinated care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) Detailed assessment, treatment, and referral of resident ailments Administration of medication Implementation and documentation of doctors orders from rounds Compliance with nursing and general policies and procedures Maintenance and accountability of medical equipment Clinical Risk Utilize clinical judgment to manage acutely ill or emergency residents Communicate with families regarding resident health, non-compliance, or concerns Facilitate hospital admissions as required Supervise junior staff and regularly assess residents for clinical risks Maintain accurate record-keeping, including documentation of risks Ensure residents and communal areas are hygienic and safe Implement infection control procedures and ensure proper use of PPE Staff Supervision/Teamwork Delegate tasks to staff according to their scope of practice Handle and resolve complaints from residents, staff, or families Foster a cohesive team that provides quality care Supervise and performance-manage junior staff when necessary Administration and Financial Efficiency Regularly check ward stock and medical equipment Ensure no expired stock in the ward Log and report central facility requests Requirements: Registered with SANC (South African Nursing Council) Willingness to complete a 5-day orientation (4 days paid) Previous experience working in a frail care setting (advantageous) Availability for both day and night shifts Orientation Details: Duration: 5 days Compensation: Days 2-5 Paid orientation. You will also receive an additional allowance for day and night shifts. Post-Orientation: After successfully completing the orientation, you will be placed on a set shift schedule. Why Join Us?
