Job description: Are you a talented toolmaker with a passion for precision and craftsmanship? We’re looking for an experienced professional to join our team and play a key role in assembling, fitting, and repairing high-quality tools. If you’re ready to bring your skills to an exciting environment, we’d love to hear from you!Manufacture tools, jigs, and dies to meet specified requirements
Conduct test runs with finished tools or dies to ensure components meet parameters and make necessary adjustments
Obtain Senior Toolmaker approval for completed tools before handing them over to production
Select, prepare, and fabricate any necessary shop aids to complete tasks
Ensure the correct materials are used for each job, confirming they meet size and specification requirements
Ensure tooling complies with health and safety standards
Perform quality checks to maintain product quality
Inspect faulty tools, perform fault-finding, and identify the issue
Maintain accurate records of repairs and tool changes, documenting:
Parts replaced
Tool downtime
Operator issues
Units produced
Other production-related issuesSkills & Experience:
Experience working in a factory environment is essential
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and plan ahead
Basic mechanical skills
Ability to identify all components required for completing assemblies
Clear and persuasive communication with your team and managers
Excellent organizational skills
Strong sense of responsibility and problem-solving abilities
Strong administrative skills
Ability to make quick decisions and resolve staff or equipment-related issues
Quick to grasp new concepts
Proficiency in IT to handle various technologies and programs
Keen attention to detail to maintain high-quality standards
Ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines
Ability to approach tasks in a logical, systematic mannerMinimum requirements
Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience
