Job description: SUMMARY:
Pump manufacturing company in EAST Rand area seeking a Registered Professional Engineer to design components to suit customised pump arrangements, modify existing drawings here necessary and provide advise to machine-shops, fabricators and fitters to ensure the design is implemented correctly through to installation.POSITION INFO:Experience & Education required:
- Good general knowledge of pump application, mechanical and hydraulic loading, engineering concepts.
- Knowledge of material strengths, fits and tolerances.
- Hands-on experience with design, engineering and/or fabrication of pump components
- Good experience with and willing to conceptualise designs using CAD packages.
- Sound knowledge of Metallurgy
- Experience on Vault
- ERP System experience • Proficient computer skills as well as: ▪ Autodesk packages, Product Design & Manufacturing: CAD Software, Autodesk Inventor, 3ds max, Navisworks, Vault, Fusion • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach for generating new ideas.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in mechanical design and fabrication detailing
- DEGREE IN
– Registered as a professional Engineer and relevat experience in the pump industry
Expected salary: R650000 – 750000 per year
