Job Summary:
As an Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for designing electrical circuits for automation systems according to prescribed standards. You will play a crucial role in the electrical commissioning of equipment, electrical panel layout, and the production of detailed electrical automation drawings. You will provide technical support during building processes, customer support, support on imported equipment, and technical support for on-site technicians. Additionally, you will be tasked with providing comprehensive electrical documentation and component sourcing.
Job Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in electrical circuit and automation design, particularly in machinery and PLC equipment.
- Knowledge in electrical CAD packages, with E-plan P8 being highly preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical drives and machinery.

Qualification:
- Possession of a B-Tech/B-Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering or similar qualifications.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Step 7, and alternate PLC programming software is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley compact Logix will be a significant plus but is not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Designing electrical circuits that meet automation systems’ standards.
- Undertaking electrical commissioning of various equipment.
- Planning and executing electrical panel layouts.
- Drafting detailed electrical automation drawings that are both comprehensive and clear.
- Offering technical support throughout the building processes.
- Providing responsive customer support and facilitating support on imported equipment.
- Assisting technicians with technical support on-site.
- Preparing and maintaining precise electrical documentation.
- Sourcing vital components required for design and execution.
Salary:
The compensation for this position ranges from R18 000 to R35 000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
