Job Title: Automation Technician

Job description: Oversee electronic systems, including fiber optics, IP networks, databases, and machine software
Diagnose and resolve issues in PLC systems (no programming required) to ensure seamless machine functionality
Perform wiring, installation, and precise calibration of machinery, with expertise in weighing systems considered a strong advantage
Deliver technical support, provide customer training on system operations, and handle post-sales service
Take initiative, make swift decisions, and independently resolve on-site challenges
Actively maintain and enhance the performance of machines and systems
Clearly convey technical information to customers and team members, with Afrikaans fluency being a key requirementSkills & Experience:
Proficiency in both spoken and written Afrikaans is essential
Solid IT skills paired with a strong background in electronic technology
Proven ability to perform accurate machine calibration
Knowledge of PLC systems, including Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, ABB, Honeywell, or other major platformsQualification:
Diploma or Degree in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering
Valid driver’s license
