Job description: Job SummaryOur client, a leading water treatment company based in Muizenberg, Cape Town, is seeking a Business Development Representative with 3 to 5 years of proven experience in technical business development or sales within the water and wastewater treatment industry, or a related technical solutions sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proven ability to understand client needs, and drive revenue growth through strategic upselling and cross-selling of products and services. The role requires a valid driver’s license, own vehicle, and a willingness to travel locally, regionally, and potentially internationally. The successful candidate will receive strong support from the Business Development Department and report directly to the Business Development Manager.Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in a technical business development or sales role within the water and wastewater treatment industry or a related technical solutions sector.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand complex water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and potentially internationally as required.
- Own vehicle and valid Driver’s License.
