Job description: Our client in the Plastics industry is currently looking for an Instrument Technician/Lab Technician, in Durban, Kwa – Zulu Natal.Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain industrial sensors, PLCs, and automation systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose instrumentation issues to reduce downtime.
- Work with a variety of measurement devices, including pressure, flow, temperature, and level sensors.
- Optimize control systems to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Support process automation upgrades and integrate IT-based monitoring systems.
Requirements:
- Qualified Instrument Technician (Trade Test or relevant Diploma)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or chemical processing plants.
- Strong expertise in PLC programming and industrial sensors.
- Experience working with VSDs, flow meters, and process controllers.
- A proactive problem-solver with keen attention to detail.
- Work Location: On-site.
Remuneration:
- R15 000 – R30 000 per month.
Expected salary: R15000 – 30000 per month
