Job Summary:
CV Desk is in search of experienced and top-notch Short-Term Insurance Sales Consultants to join our team in Durban for a permanent employment opportunity. The successful candidates will join a dynamic environment and contribute significantly to our growing organization.
Remuneration:
- Basic Salary: R15,000 per month
- Airtime Allowance: R300
- Uncapped Commission
Role Purpose:
As a Business Development Consultant, you will be a committed, driven, and results-oriented adviser who thrives working independently as well as within a team. Your expertise in motor and household domestic insurance will be key in meeting the targets set forth by our client. You will leverage your industry experience and knowledge to offer the best solutions to our clients and successfully drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of prospective clients.
- Advise clients on the best motor and household domestic insurance solutions that suit their individual needs.
- Conduct a thorough needs analysis and provide personalized insurance solutions.
- Maintain and develop client relationships through regular communication.
- Ensure continuous professional development by gaining the required CPD points annually.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry trends and regulatory requirements.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets set by the company.
- Comply with all the regulatory requirements stipulated by the FSCA.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Matric/Grade 12: Essential to ensure a solid educational foundation.
- FAIS Credits: At least 30 credits in short-term insurance if the date of first appointment was before 2010. Beyond 2010, a full recognized qualification as per the FSCA qualification list is required.
- FAIS Regulatory Examination for Representatives (RE5): A must to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD): Accumulate a minimum of 12 CPD points annually to keep up with industry standards.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years in selling short-term insurance either as a broker agent or tied agent.
- Proven Track Record: Must provide one year’s proof of commission earnings, amounting to a minimum of R10,000 per month.
- Transportation: Candidates must have their own vehicle and a valid driver’s license to facilitate client meetings and business operations.
