What Were Looking For:
- Education: B.Comm Accounting or similar degree/diploma
- Experience: 3-4 years in an accounting/audit environment
- Technical Skills: IFRS knowledge, Pastel Partner, Excel (non-negotiable)
- Bonus: Knowledge of the insurance industry
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records
- Process cashbooks, journals, and reconcile supplier and customer accounts
- Prepare VAT returns, month-end journals, and capture EFT payments
- Manage the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation
- Handle SARS submissions (EMP201, IRP6)
- Liaise with auditors and assist with audit preparation
- Perform ad-hoc financial tasks as required
