Job description: Operations manager and Finance Assistant – GeorgeFull job descriptionOur company is seeking a highly organized and motivated Operations Manager and finance assistant who will be responsible for managing and coordinating operational areas in the building and plumbing sectors of the business while also assisting in the finance department with daily financial related tasks.Finance assistant:Update financial and operational spreadsheetsTrack and reconcile bank statementsFortnightly and monthly Payroll (Pastel)Record accounts payable and accounts receivableProcess invoices and follow up with clients and suppliersAssistant to building managerUpkeep of internal admin systemsUpkeep of online portalsOperations Manager:Upkeep as well as development and implementation of operational proceduresManage and coordinate teams in the fieldImplement quality control procedures to ensure service meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations.Monitor inventory levels and costing of jobsStock controlManage customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues in a timely and effective manner.Provide leadership and guidance to the field crew to ensure goals are met.Candidate must have:Min. 5 years admin related experience.Work experience as a Finance Assistant or similar roleGood knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping proceduresFamiliarity with accounting software – Pastel payroll and Sage onlineAdvanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)Job Type: Full-timePay: R8 000,00 – R12 000,00 per monthExpected Start Date: 2025/01/06
