Job description: Job Summary Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Insurance, or a related field. A Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation is highly preferred or studying towards one.
- 5+ years of experience in long-term insurance
- Must have RE5 certification and be fit and proper.
Duties are, but not limited to:
- Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their long-term insurance needs and financial goals.
- Product Recommendation: Provide tailored independent long-term insurance solutions, including life insurance, disability insurance, and retirement planning products.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain extensive knowledge of long-term insurance products from various providers to offer the best options to clients.
- In-Depth Analysis: Perform comprehensive analyses of clients’ financial situations and recommend suitable long-term insurance products based on their needs and goals.
- Compliance: Ensure all advice and services comply with the Long-term Insurance Act, 1998, and the Policyholder Protection Rules (PPRs) of 2017. Adhere to the fit and proper standard as in BN194 of the FAIS act. Comply with the FAIS act.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, recommendations, and transactions in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Education: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, regulatory changes, and FPI standards.
- Ethical Standards: Adhere to the FSCA Code of Conduct and Professional Standards, ensuring all actions are in the best interest of clients.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate clients’ risk profiles and provide appropriate insurance solutions to mitigate potential financial risks.
- Claims Assistance: Assist clients with the claims process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Marketing and Networking: Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, industry peers, and other stakeholders to grow the client base
