Job description: Job Summary Finance Clerk (JB4814) Johannesburg, Gauteng R15 000 CTC per month (negotiable based on experience) One-year Fixed Term Contract Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Clerk to become an integral part of their finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with financial statement preparation. Your work will be vital to ensuring the smooth operation of the finance department while adhering to company and regulatory standards. Minimum Requirements: BCom Accounting/ Finance or relevant Diploma 2 – 5 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role Proficiency in Sage and/or Pastel Strong understanding of trial balance, journal entries, invoicing, and credit management Solid understanding of Excel Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to manage and collate financial information accurately and efficiently. Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording data. Manage and reconcile accounts payable (creditors), ensuring the accurate processing of all invoices. Maintain the trial balance and ensure the accuracy of general ledger entries. Process journal entries and assist with the preparation of financial statements. Handle petty cash transactions and maintain accurate records. Prepare and send invoices, ensuring timely collections.
