Credit Model Development & Enhancement:
Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of credit models, scorecards, and analytics tools
Analyse and integrate data to refine credit decisioning systems, ensuring they align with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
Credit Automation & Decisioning:
Drive automation initiatives to streamline credit evaluation and approval processes.
Make credit recommendations and approve credit applications within authorized mandate levels, ensuring the placement of quality assets.
Implement responsible lending practices to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
Risk Management:
Assess and manage credit risk across new and existing client portfolios.
Conduct thorough credit assessments to ensure the acquisition of high-quality assets while mitigating potential risks.
Monitor credit performance and provide insights to adjust risk parameters as necessary.
Client-Centric Solutions:
Understand and anticipate client needs, providing tailored credit solutions to support their financial goals.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, offering proactive and innovative solutions within agreed turnaround times.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Sales, Credit Committee, Finance, and Operations teams to optimize credit models for better performance and compliance.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address any challenges in credit assessment, approval, or risk management.
Reporting & Analytics:
Develop and maintain reports to track credit performance, model accuracy, and risk metrics.
Present insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making.
Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:
Ensure all credit operations comply with internal policies and external regulations.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices to continuously refine credit strategies.
Team Leadership & Development:
Mentor and guide junior credit analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Provide training and support to ensure the team is equipped with the skills to perform high-quality credit assessments.COMPETENCIES WE LOOK FOR:

A self-starter, able to take initiative and drive models from concept to implementation while ensuring usability across teams.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE LOOK FOR:
Grade 12
NQF Level 7 or Higher in a Financial or Banking related field essential.
CIMA, Credit management degree or equivalent will be advantageous.
2-5 years’ experience in a credit management environment
Experience in commercial finance.
Experience managing teams and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Expected salary: R600000 – 700000 per year
