Job Title: Key Account Co-ordinator/Manager – Fruit (fresh and processed)

Job description: A dynamic supplier of fresh and processed fruit is looking for a Key Account Co-ordinator/Manager (depending experience) with account and category management experience. The incumbent will be responsible for building relationships with, among other, retailers, growers, service providers and role-players in the health foods sector, as well as with internal stakeholders.Responsibilities:
- Management of retail accounts, development of new markets, i.e. ingredients in the health food sector.
- Ensure all day to day activities are carried out in the manner required.
- Travel regularly to farms, production sites and stores.
- Manage profitability and all financial KPI’s effectively.
- Forecasting and close liaison with key members of the team for accurate and timely data.
- Stock management in close collaboration with the quality department.
- Regular daily liaison with retailer – across all teams if required.
- Close working with the Managing Director to learn and adapt to all processes.
- Joint meetings with retailer and our quality team.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in commerce/agriculture or marketing or equivalent.
- Established relationships in subtropical and exotic fruit sector advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years’ sales, procurement or key account coordination experience in the fruit industry.
- Working knowledge of fruit software platforms will be an advantage.
- Stock management.
- Be willing to adapt regularly to the ever changing retail and consumer health environment.
- Knowledge of fruit market structures within SA.
- Able to negotiate.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience.
