Job Description

As a Key Account Co-ordinator, you will be instrumental in nurturing existing relationships and establishing new connections with key stakeholders including retailers, growers, service providers, and role players within the health foods sector. Your role is crucial in ensuring seamless operations and maintaining the high standards we are known for.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will have a variety of responsibilities focused on managing and expanding our market presence:
- Retail Account Management: Oversee the management of retail accounts, with an emphasis on the development of new markets, particularly in health food ingredients.
- Operational Coordination: Ensure all daily activities are executed efficiently and in line with company guidelines.
- Site Visits: Regularly travel to farms, production sites, and retail stores to strengthen ties and ensure quality.
- Profitability Management: Effectively manage profitability and financial KPIs to meet and exceed company goals.
- Forecasting and Communication: Work closely with key team members to ensure accurate and timely forecasting and data sharing.
- Stock Management: Collaborate with the quality department to manage stock efficiently and effectively.
- Retailer Liaison: Engage in daily communication with retailers across various teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Strategy Adaptation: Partner with the Managing Director to gain insights and adapt to company processes.
- Joint Meetings: Engage in collaborative meetings with retailers and our quality team to ensure all parties align with the company vision and expectations.
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Educational Background: A tertiary qualification in commerce, agriculture, marketing, or a related field is required.
- Sector Knowledge: Established relationships in the subtropical and exotic fruit sector will be advantageous.
- Industry Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, procurement, or key account coordination within the fruit industry.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with fruit software platforms is beneficial.
- Stock Management Skills: Must possess experience in stock management to support operational efficiency.
- Adaptability: Willing and able to adapt to the evolving retail and consumer health environment.
- South African Market Knowledge: Understanding of the fruit market structures within South Africa is crucial.
- Negotiation Skills: Basic negotiation skills are required to manage accounts and relationships effectively.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years’ professional experience in a similar role.
