Job description: Job Summary Our client, a prominent industry leader in manufacturing, is currently looking for a skilled Service Technician to deliver exceptional technical support and service to customers. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless repairs and preventative maintenance of inspection, coding and marking equipment for the packaging industry, ultimately driving business success and maintaining a competitive edge in the market. Job Knowledge Understanding of coding and marking systems and machines Full understanding of the theory of operation of the broad range of technology supported by these machines Customer value chain Understand the IT requirements of the products Application of MS office Understand the functionality of the JD Edwards ERP system Understand the customer install base Understand the functioning of the equipment and manufacturing processes of customers. Understand the maintenance principles for the product range. Engineering knowledge. Qualifications Matric N4 Technical qualification as a minimum for entry At least 5 years as a qualified artisan in electrical or electronics (ideal) Must have a valid driver’s license Criteria Critical thinking Analytical skills Technical skills (electrical and electronics) Communication skills Customer Relationship skills Trouble shooting skills MS Office Advanced Computer skills Planning skills Scheduling skills Time Management skills Training, coaching and mentoring skills Ability to work in a team Problem solving skills A Consultant will be in touch if you are shortlisted for the position.
