Job description: The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing all sales activities within the Gauteng region, including managing a sales team, developing and implementing sales strategies, and ensuring that sales targets and KPIs are met. This leadership role requires a dynamic individual who can build and maintain strong customer relationships, effectively manage a team, and contribute to Keystone Millings overall growth and success.Key Responsibilities:Sales Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the Gauteng region, aligned with the companys overall business goals.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team, setting clear performance targets and providing ongoing coaching and support.
- Monitor and evaluate sales performance, taking corrective action when necessary to ensure that team and regional sales objectives are met.
- Collaborate with senior management to refine sales strategies, identify growth opportunities, and introduce new products or services to the market.
Team Management & Development:
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team, ensuring that team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture that focuses on achieving sales goals and providing exceptional customer service.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify areas for professional development for team members.
Business Development & Customer Relationship Management:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, both within existing customer accounts and by expanding into new markets or customer segments.
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key clients in the Gauteng region, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and manage complex sales negotiations to build trust and ensure repeat business.
Sales Reporting & Analytics:
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, providing insights on sales performance, trends, forecasts, and areas for improvement.
- Track and analyze key sales metrics, such as conversion rates, lead generation, and market penetration, and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Manage sales budgets and resources to ensure cost-effective operations while achieving revenue growth.
Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis:
- Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities in the Gauteng region to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams based on customer needs and market dynamics.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing and product teams to align on sales campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with the logistics and customer service departments to ensure smooth and efficient order processing, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Key Requirements:Education & Experience:
- A Bachelors degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is required; an MBA or similar advanced qualification is a plus.
- At least 5-7 years of sales experience, with a proven track record in sales management, preferably in the milling, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Experience in managing and leading a sales team to achieve revenue targets and build strong customer relationships.

- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to think strategically, identify growth opportunities, and drive business expansion.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to track sales performance and adjust strategies to meet targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software, sales tracking tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
