Job description: Position: Procurement Administrator
Location: Umhlanga, Durban Employment Type: Full time Salary: R7,000-R10,000 pmKey Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end tender process, including identifying opportunities, preparing submissions, and ensuring compliance with requirements.
- Draft, distribute, and evaluate RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs to source goods and services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define procurement requirements and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and vendor performance.
- Conduct vendor evaluations and assist in the negotiation of terms and agreements.
- Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies and legal regulations.
- Provide administrative support to the procurement team, including scheduling meetings, tracking project timelines, and generating reports.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, with specific expertise in tenders, RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs.
- Strong knowledge of procurement policies, processes, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is an advantage.
