Job description: Our client is currently looking to employ an experienced Junior Helpdesk Support Technician on a permanent basis to commence asap. This position, based in their Johannesburg office, will provide IT support to staff, via phone, email, and in person. The desktop technician’s role is to support and maintain in-house desktop infrastructure. This includes deploying, configuring, diagnosing, and repairing desktop and laptop PCs and peripheral devices and ensuring optimal performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user training and assistance where required. The desktop technician will also be required to provide application support. Strong customer service skills are essential in this role as well as the ability to follow processes. Monday to Friday but some overtime may be required when neccessary.Requirements:
The successful candidate will ideally hold a valid and recognized IT qualification. In addition to this, the successful candidate will be a team player with plenty of initiative and an ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. As this role involves interacting with a wide range of people including external clients, strong relationship skills, excellent presentation and strong verbal and written communication skills is essential. The successful candidate must also have a self-motivating work ethic and an inquiring mind that is eager to learn. The right candidate will integrate easily and work cooperatively in a busy office environment. Those candidates with previous experience in a professional services environment will be regarded favourably.Basic salary – R 15,000.00 per month plus company benefits.The post appeared first on .
