Job description: Job title:Solar Systems Technician (Gauteng)Duties and Responsibilities:· Designing and overseeing installations for solar or backup energy systems.· Ability to do electrical installations to a certified standard and sign off Certificate of compliance’s (COC).· Oversee all troubleshooting and warranty claim issues related to solar system that have been installed.· Work with customers to train them on the systems and to get sign offs from the customers.· Work with installation companies and ensure they comply to the company standards and hold them to their warranty periods on all installations done.· Provision of energy auditing equipment and create reports off the data gathered.· Work with suppliers to troubleshoot issues and test new products in the industryMinimum Qualifications and Requirements:· Matric· Excel skills essential· Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.· Fluent in English and Afrikaans· Knowledge and experience in sales· 2+ years in knowledge of solar systems and backend applications that work with the solar systems.· Registered with the Electrical Contracting Board of South Africa (E.C.B)), studying or working towards this is also acceptable· Valid Driver’s Licence· Own transport· Willing to travel between job sites and possible outside of Gauteng if required
Expected salary: R20000 – 30000 per month
