Job description: Job Summary Key Responsibilities:
- Apply auditing methodologies and data analytics to solve complex business problems, particularly in financial processes, by analyzing key business data and operational performance.
- Collaborate within a team to perform hypothesis testing, conduct interviews, and analyze financial data to derive actionable insights and recommendations.
- Evaluate and solve business and financial problems across key functions such as Finance, Risk Management, Operations, and Technology.
- Lead or participate in teams that utilize data analytics tools such as Power BI, SQL, Excel, and Celonis to deliver impactful financial insights.
- Conduct thorough analyses of financial processes, operational data, and internal controls to verify hypotheses or challenge assumptions.
- Ensure the analysis is based on clean, reliable data, crucial for financial risk assessments and accurate auditing.
- Prepare and deliver impactful presentations to senior executives, providing recommendations for corrective or preventive financial actions.
- Contribute to the development of an Enterprise Risk Management strategy, using innovative tools (e.g., PowerApps, Python, R) with a focus on financial risk.
- Recommend and lead the adoption of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline financial reviews and audits.
- Champion the use of digital technologies to enhance auditing and financial risk management practices across the organization.
- Develop and share expertise in data analytics to strengthen the team’s capabilities and ensure successful project delivery.
- Build strong relationships and support risk management efforts in a high-pressure environment while working to deliver results.
- Proactively manage emerging financial risks, leveraging data analytics skills and business acumen.
- Extract and analyze financial data using SQL and create actionable reports in Power BI to assess financial and operational risks.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A strong background in finance and auditing, with a professional qualification in finance/accounting (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA).
- Extensive experience and proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis, essential for auditing and financial data management.
- Solid knowledge of financial auditing processes and risk management frameworks.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Power BI, and Excel and Celonis.
- Experience in applying Agile project management principles in auditing or finance-related projects.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, particularly in financial and operational contexts.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex data insights and audit findings to senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with risk management technologies such as PowerApps, Python, or R is a plus.
- A proactive and independent work ethic with the ability to collaborate within a team in high-pressure situations.
- Strong business acumen and experience working in auditing or finance within dynamic environments.
