The Financial Officer is responsible for:
- Daily balancing and reconciliation of all transactions processed via various systems as part of financial administration.
- Ensuring 100% accuracy in balancing and reconciliation, covering all processed transactions.
- Taking immediate corrective action for any reconciliation or balancing discrepancies.
The Requirements
- Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience (5+ years):
- Bank and cashbook reconciliations.
- EFT transactions and reconciliations.
- Interbank ATM (SASWITCH) and POS (Debit Switch) processing.
- Realtime Clearing processes.
- Thorough understanding:
- Visa, MasterCard, and other Card Associations.
- BankServ Africa rules and guidelines.
- Service Level Agreements for financial institutions.
- Advantageous experience:
- Card switching and payments processing.
- Interbank-related card switching and payment services.
- Back office and reconciliation experience.
- Dispute Management Systems.
- General banking knowledge.
Additional capabilities:
- General balancing and reconciliation functions.
- Bank settlement reconciliations.
Qualifications Required:
- Matric or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Department of Higher Education and Training.
Preferred:
- BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
