Job Description
As a Financial Manager at Staff Solutions, your role is pivotal in driving the financial success and operational excellence of our organization. Your primary missions include financial planning, risk management, and maintaining financial health through strategic resource allocation. You will work closely with general management to forecast and improve financial results, ensuring compliance with the latest statutory regulations and standards such as GAAP and IFRS.
Key Responsibilities:

- Develop comprehensive financial plans that account for risks, resources, provisions, and investments.
- Implement robust risk management strategies to shield divisions against potential financial threats.

Financial Analysis and Compliance:
- Scrutinize financial statements and ratios, providing recommendations for financial performance improvements.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant legislations, regulatory standards, and internal policies.

Budget Consolidation and Analysis:
- Synthesize and interpret the Division’s budget and financials, contributing to accurate forecasting and planning.

Expense Containment and Management:
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure adherence to the budget.

Team Leadership and Strategic Development:
- Establish a customer and market-focused culture in the finance department.
- Engage with the team in strategic business planning, clarifying roles, empowering members, and spearheading improvement initiatives.

Financial Reporting and Cash Flow Management:
- Manage the preparation of financial reports for both internal and external audits.
- Maintain positive cash flow and a healthy balance sheet.

Department Structure and Role Development:
- Finalize department structures, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and fulfilled.

Ongoing Improvement and Strategy Execution:
- Carry out improvement activities, ensuring financial and other objectives are met with effective action plans.

- Maintain robust interpersonal relationships and communication channels within the team and with other departments.
- Legislative Knowledge and Long-term Strategy:
- Possess a working knowledge of applicable legislation.
- Conceptualize and implement long-term financial strategies that align with company goals.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A qualified Management Accounting Degree.
- Membership in a professional financial body, such as SAICA, SAIPA, or CIMA.
- A valid Code 08 License.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in financial management, exhibiting confidence and a proactive approach.
- Proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
- A team-oriented mindset with strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Aptitude for proactive problem-solving, action-oriented strategies, and effective team building.
Additional Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to structure and administer new work.
- Proven capability to involve teams in strategic departmental business plan development.
