The perfect person will be passionate about hospitality and highly organized with a natural capability for administration.Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in either Hospitality or Accounting/Finance
- 2-3 years in a similar position preferably in a practical F&B capacity (experience in kitchen/restaurant prep highly beneficial)
- Knowledge of POS systems and how they function for FOH and BOH
- Experience in using XERO as a stock control system, that is linked to an excel ordering system
- Can run the whole Stock control function – Receiving stock orders from group stores, Ensuring stock orders are accurately captured and processed on accounting software, Creating invoices according to orders from stores, noting stock availability in the DC, Issuing ingredients from DC to the Central Kitchen, receiving finished items back into stock and noting recipe variance, Controlling what comes in and out of store rooms, Taking stock of all inventory items on weekly basis, Ensuring that your invoices, and picked-and-packed items match.
- Assisting your manager and the team in placing orders with suppliers, and receiving goods ordered.
- Strong financial Acumen- great with numbers and variances, but also practical in terms of stock control in an everyday environment
- Honest, detailed person who enjoys achieving results by implementing efficient systems
- Very communicative along the line- reports and communicates with relevant chefs and FOH staff but keeps the DC Manager up to date constantly and defers important decision making to them
- Enjoy working with people- friendly and patient- good at training and explaining the practicalities to the staff for maximum systems implementation
- Understands Health and Safety Requirements for a working kitchen- ordering supplies for hygienic practices
- Respectful and can handle pressure in a fast paced environment- always have a plan up their sleeve!
- Valid Driver’s license is essential with own transport being very beneficial
Package:
- Salary: R15 000- R18 000 D.O.E
- Live out in Joburg (candidates already in Joburg will be preferred)
- Monday to Friday with half day Saturday (hospitality hours)
