Job description: Commercial Financial AccountantArea: Germiston – Hybrid position (3 days per week at office in Germiston and 2 days at home)Salary: Negotiable up to R40000 p/m depending on qualifications & experiencePurpose of the position: To record and report a company’s financial transactions, financial performance, and cash flows. The role would entail the responsibilities listed below with special focus on preparing financial statements on the accounting software as well as submitting tax returns and dealing with SARS queries.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including bookkeeping, reconciliations and journal entries
- Prepare and analyse annual financial statements and reports on Caseware
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
- Maintain compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Submit tax returns including Income Tax, VAT and EMP returns and handle tax queries independently
- Assist with audits and other financial reporting requirements
- Submit CIPC returns and perform any related CIPC duties
- Perform any other duties required that could be expected from the position
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience in an auditing or accounting practice
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Completed articles
- Proficient in tax and experience with solving SARS queries
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage Evolution and Sage Accounting) and Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in Caseware software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Experience with SARS e-filing submissions and dealing with SARS queries
- Clear Credit and Criminal checks
Expected salary: R40000 per month
