Job description: Job Title: Accounting Quality Control ManagerJob DescriptionOur client is seeking a meticulous and professional Accounting Quality Control Manager (QC) to oversee the accuracy and integrity of financial data for their USA-based chiropractic clients. In this pivotal role, you will:
- Review bookkeeping work completed during onboarding.
- Manage Balance Sheet clean-up for new clients.
- Conduct Quality Control (QC) calls with American business owners to finalise their financial setup.
The primary objective is to ensure clients are transitioned seamlessly from onboarding to the Strategic Planning and monthly reporting departments with clean, accurate, and standardised financial data. This role combines technical bookkeeping expertise with strong client communication and organizational skills.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed reviews of bookkeeping work to ensure compliance with the client’s standardized reporting framework.
- Verify and clean up Balance Sheet accounts during the onboarding phase.
- Host QC calls with American business owners (chiropractors) to review and finalize financial setups.
- Confidently explain adjustments and address client queries in a professional manner.
- Ensure clients are prepared for a smooth transition to ongoing services.
- Collaborate with onboarding and monthly reporting teams for seamless handovers.
- Identify and address gaps or inefficiencies in the onboarding-to-QC workflow.
Requirements/ Experience & Qualifications
- Newly Qualified CA(SA) with a solid foundation in accounting and financial principles.
OR
- SAIPA-qualified Accounting Manager with 2-3 years of client-facing experience in an accounting services environment.
Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss structures.
- Proficiency with cloud accounting software and advanced transaction reviews.
- Medium-level Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with clients effectively.
Work Ethic
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Flexible to accommodate QC calls during American hours (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM SAST).
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Additional Notes
- Preference will be given to candidates based in the Western Cape Winelands or surrounding areas for occasional in-person meetings.
- Comprehensive training on the client’s processes and tools will be provided to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
