Job Title: Accountant / Bookkeeper

Job description: An opportunity exists for an Accountant or Bookkeeper to join a small but well-established accounting firm on a permanent basis. The client is based in Strand, Western Cape.The appointee will be responsible for performing various bookkeeping and accounting functions for various clients.Duties:
- Client liaison.
- Monthly accounting and processing up to trail balance.
- Monthly bank reconciliations.
- Monthly journal entries.
- VAT reconciliations (assistance with income tax and provisional tax submissions).
- Responsible for calculating VAT, PAYE and other necessary SARS requirements on a monthly basis.
- Preparation of year end schedules to support the preparation of annual financial statements as well as other admin duties.
- Sorting and filing of financial records.
Requirements
- Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Accounting will be an advantage.
- Qualified by experience will also be considered.
- Professional registration will be an added benefit.
- 2 years plus bookkeeping experience with at least one year in an Accounting Practice Environment.
- Excellent Afrikaans & English communication skills.
- Detail orientated.
- Work efficiently under pressure.
- Own transport.
- Deadline driven.
Salary R18000 to R25000 / month negotiable, dependent on skills and experience.HOW TO APPLY:
